Exact yardage for US Open may vary, scorecard says 7,800 yds, Par 72.

GIR+
Birdie %/Bogey Avoidance

Most of you know how this story goes; it’s US Open time and the course will be difficult. However, this year, for the first time since 1992, the course will be a Par 72, meaning there will be two extra par 5s which could lead to slightly lower scoring than usual for a US Open.

You also know by now that this could be one of the longest course setups ever and there are no trees in sight so the wind could play a major part in scoring as well. Be sure to follow up on the wind conditions as we get closer to Thursday.

This is a large field – 156 golfers – and the cut will only allow the top 60 to survive. It’s always imperative to winning a GPP to get 6/6 but this week could be more forgiving for cashing considering this is a smaller cut than most tournaments.

Key Player Targets:
Rickie Fowler 10.5k
Justin Rose 9.8k
Hideki Matsuyama 9.6k
Branden Grace 8.6k
Thomas Pieters 7.7k
Matt Kuchar 7.6k
Shan Lowry 7.3k
Byeong-Hun An 6.8k

Outright Bets (Odds may differ from current on some)
Jon Rahm 22/1
Brooks Koepka 40/1
Branden Grace 48/1
Thomas Pieters 66/1
Shane Lowry 80/1
Byeong-Hun An 100/1
Tommy Fleetwood 165/1 (& 90/1)

St. Jude Classic Review

My top LU managed to cash in the $100 but with Uihlein MDF’ing and Cink falling on Sunday the earnings were meager. However, it was another week in the black and I’ll try to improve on it for the US Open.
