NBA Best Plays, February 5th
Kawhi Leonard – SF – 7.2k
He’s only 7.2k — I repeat — Leonard is ONLY 7.2k! You should lock him into your cash games and move on. Yes, he hasn’t been as explosive as he was early in the season but the Mavericks are not a defensive gauntlet and Leonard gets consistent minutes and a usage above 25%.
Kyrie Irving – PG – 7.0k
Like Leonard, Kyrie is too cheap for his talents. To meet expectations he only needs to score 28 FP and he’s gone 30+ in four straight. He plays close to 35 min/game with a usage rate of 28% and he’s not afraid to shoot the ball. Take advantage of his price will it’s still below 7.8k – he will be there soon enough if I had to bet.
Robert Covington – SF – 5.0k
Before his stinker last game, Covington had found his game again. He’d exceeded expectations in eight straight and I believe he will do so again tonight. His implied total is 18 FP and I see no reason he won’t break 20 if he continues to play 30+ minutes. The 76ers are indeed a mess but he has a usage of 20% so with the minutes Cove should be a nice value play.
