NBA Cash Core, February 2nd
Write ups will hopefully be added later in the day.
Karl-Anthony Towns – C – 8.6k
Towns has been a BEAST of late and should have no problem feasting on the Lakers front court tonight. His usage keeps creeping up and his minutes have been consistent. The Lakers give up 2.1 more points than expected to opposing Cs, and KAT is looking at a big night.
DeMar DeRozan – SG – 8.2k James Harden – SG – 10.9k
With news of no Dwight, Harden is a must play in cash. He will be highly owned so even if you don’t believe in him, you should play him because if you’re wrong, you will be buried. His usage is already above 30% and it will increase with Howard out.
Julius Randle – PF – 6.1k
WARNING – pay attention to if Randle is starting. This could hinge on Nance being in/out. Byron Scott loves to tinker with his starting rotation (for no apparent reason). If Randle is starting he’s a great play for his salary.
He’s exceeded value in eight straight games and should be able to again if he sees around 30 minutes. The TWolves do not defend PF well and Randle should be able to take advantage. He doesn’t have a high usage but it is about 20% and I think he should approach 30 FP tonight.
PJ Tucker – SF – 4.8k
Tucker has been logging a lot of minutes lately with the Suns rotation all banged up and he’s making the most of it. Yes, he had a rough game his last time out but check out his play in the seven prior games. The Raptors are a positive match up for Tucker and getting 30+ minutes, he should have no problem paying off such a cheap salary.
