NBA Cash Core, January 30th
DeMarcus Cousins – C – 11.3k
That is one hefty price tag, I know, but there are some value picks available for this slate. Boogie has been CRUSHING it and he’s a “fade at your own risk” type of player right now. He’s in the same territory as Westbrook last season around this time. He will have to deal with Gasol who is a better defender than most but I don’t expect that to slow Boogie down too much. Not a lot of super stars to choose from tonight and I’m not risking the injury prone, Anthony Davis.
Kawhi Leonard – SF – 7.3k
Leonard has been extremely inconsistent of his past 10 but it’s really hard to pass up such a cheap price in a game that should be competitive. I expect him to get close to 35 minutes tonight and with an expected output of only 28 points, I’m very optimistic he will exceed that.
Jrue Holiday – PG – 7.0k
I don’t really love any PGs tonight but Jrue is close. He’s been playing really well and has exceeded expectations in eight of his last nine games, including going over 30+ FP in six of seven. He should see close to 30 minutes tonight and with a usage of 25% he should also be able to pay off his salary in a decent match up.
Myles Turner – PF – 5.1k
Turner has been quite consistent lately, exceeding expectations in eight straight games. His minutes can fluctuate but typically he’s in the high 20’s/low 30’s and is usage rate is climbing over 20%. He has a great matchup tonight against Denver and I expect him to reach value once again.
