NHL Cash Core, December 10th
You probably won’t be able to have an expensive pair of defensemen or spend up at goalie because this core is expensive, but I still have a really solid goalie.
Patrick Kane – RW – 8.3k
It’s getting old having to explain why you should play Kane so I’ll leave it at this – HE’S PLAYING THE BEST HOCKEY IN THE WORLD AND COSTS $8,300!!! PLAY HIM!!!
Vladimir Tarasenko – RW – 8.1k
This is indeed a beautiful match up for Tarasenko. He’s on the top line and top PP Units for one of the best teams in the league and they are facing the Flyers – fire up! Vlad has produced nine points in his L10 games and he’s getting about 3-4 shots on net per game. St. Louis should dominate this game and Tarasenko should have quite a few chances to burry the puck.
Nicklas Backstrom – C – 6.1k
Backstrom has seen a huge uptick in point production since rejoining Ovi on the Capitals top line. He has a six game point streak going and 11 points in his L10 games. Florida is a solid defensive team but Washington has one of the most talented top lines in the NHL. The top line also plays together on the PP Unit which is a great place for Backstrom to rack up assists setting up Ovechkin. Not only can he produce on his own, but for 6.1k you also get a piece of Ovechkin whenever he’s on the ice.
Dylan Larkin – LW – 5.7k
Mr. Larkin is having quite the rookie campaign and he seems to keep getting better. He has 10 points in 10 games and leads the league in +/-, which is nice to know you won’t be catching a lot of random negative points. He continues to play with Zetterberg on the top line and he’s been bumped up to the top PP Unit as well. He’s averaging almost 4 FP/gm and it’s hard to find consistent production like that for his current price. He’s been underpriced all season and because he’s not a household name, he will continue to be priced wrong for most of the season.
