NBA DFS Picks, 12-2-15
NBA Cash Core, December 2nd
James Harden – SG – 10.8k
Harden is ever so slightly my top play of the slate. He recently mentioned he’d like to see his minute reduced from playing 40 a game but I don’t see that starting tonight. The Rockets play at a fast pace and the Pelicans give up a ton of possessions. Even with a reduction, Harden will see 35 minutes and his usage is 33%. The Pelicans give up 8% more points than average to SGs and Harden is a hard match up even for a good defense. Tonight is shaping up to be a 50+ fantasy point night.
Reggie Jackson – PG – 7.4k
A heavy, heavy majority will be on John Wall tonight as their top PG but I’m not biting on his one great game this season. Sure, he has a great match up and may get into the 30’s but he’s also $700 more. Reggie Jackson also has a great match up against Phoenix in what should be a more uptempo game, and Phoenix doesn’t do as well against PGs. Reggie has been a bit inconsistent this season but he’s more than capable of big games and I expect a 30+ point game tonight.
Kristaps Porzingis – PF – 7.2k
Porzingis has a lovely match up agaisnt Philly tonight who can’t really guard anybody, giving up 12% more FP than average to PFs. Kristaps has been playing quite a bit of minutes lately (35/gm) and he’s been producing in those minutes (40/gm in L5). He’s becoming more and more consistent, scoring 40+ in four of his last seven games and he could produce like that tonight.
Alex Len – C – 3.5k
With Tyson Chandler being out, Len becomes the top punt/value play of the night. Last night, Len put up 38 FP in 35 minutes, and he’s averaged .86/minute played this season. He has a solid match up against the Pistons tonight and should get big minutes having to defend Drummond. Foul trouble could be an issue but at 3.5k, he only needs 16 points for value and if he gets 30+ minutes I expect him to approach 30 FPs. Lock him in.
