NBA Cash Core, December 1st
I realize that this fills up the SF and PG positions on FanDuel but sometimes that’s how it turns out when finding my core. I will update later if anything changes or be sure to follow me on Twitter @axisgranted (Warning – I sometimes tweet a lot about completely random and non-sports related stuff).
LeBron James – SF – 10.1k
He hasn’t be as explosive this year but I love him for tonight’s slate. There aren’t a ton of high ceiling guys tonight but LBJ has 60 point potential and about a 40 point floor. He has a great match up tonight as well (even though he can get his points essentially whenever he wants). He will get his 35-40 minutes and his usage is still at 33%, facing a Wizards team giving up 26% more points to SFs than league average. I’m expecting a 45-50 FP outing for the King.
Mike Conley – PG – 7.0k
Conley had a slow start to the season but he’s returning to form and is averaging 31 FP over his last five games. He has a great match up tonight against the Pelicans; not only does NO not guard PGs particularly well, as a team they allow 109 possessions per game! Conley consistently plays 35 minutes and with some extra chances I like his odds to get to 35+ FP in this game.
Robert Covington – SF – 6.4k
Covington continues to be a thief, racking up 21 steals over his last three games. He sometimes struggles to score points but he can fill up the entire stat sheet giving him a nice floor and a high ceiling most nights. Since returning to the starting lineup he’s playing 35+ minutes and has an excellent match up against a putrid Lakers team. The 76ers are actually favored if you can believe it and I expect Cove to have a solid game in tonight’s D-League match up.
Isaiah Cannan – PG – 4.4k
I’m going back to the 76ers to take advantage of attacking the Lakers. Isaiah is a solid punt tonight at 4.4k allowing you to spend up elsewhere. He only needs 20 points to hit value and since returning to the starting lineup he’s averaged 25 FP/Gm. His minutes again should be in the mid 30’s and the Lakers give up 17% more points than average to opposing PGs. Cannan doesn’t have a high ceiling but he has 30 point potential in tonight’s match up.
