NHL Cash Core, November 22nd
I play primarily at FanDuel, but I have also included Draftkings pricing.
Vladimir Tarasenko – RW – 8.2k/7.9k
Tarasenko is playing great hockey and has a superb match up against the Sabers. The young team in Buffalo is still struggling in the defensive end and they can’t match up with St. Louis quite yet. He has 12 points in the last 10 games, and 22 overall this season. The Blues are dumping goals in and Vlad is on the top line and the top PP Unit. The STL PP has been slow this season but Buffalo’s PK Unit is the 2nd worse in the league. I see the Blues lighting it up.
Leon Draisaitl – C – 3.2k/4.0k
It’s not the greatest match up for Leon but until his price comes up he’s a must play. In 10 games Leon has 17 points – yes 17. The kid is having a dream start to a career so ride the train while it’s this cheap. Honestly, not sure how he can be passed up. His centering the top line and the 2nd PP unit so he will continues to get chances to keep up his incredible pace.
Nicklas Backstrom – C – 6.2k/6.7k
If you don’t want to spend up for Ovechkin (pricey) you can play Backstrom who has been just as hot and you can still get a potential piece of Ovi because Backstrom has been reunited with him on the first line. It’s a wonderful match up and Kuz has 16 points in 16 games this season, including five points in his last five games. His price will slowly rise as he continues to play well and benefit from playing with Oshie and Ovi. Play him now and save some money instead of spending up for other centers.
Mats Zucarello – RW – 5.6k/5.6k
Like Leon, it’s not a top notch match up but Zuc is tearing it up right now, producing 15 points in his last 10 games and he’s playing close to 20 minutes/game. He seems to be pretty match up proof right now and for 5.6k it hard to find a better deal on a hot scorer. Playing Mats will give you room to spend up at goalie or another super star of your choice.
