Daily Fantasy Hockey, November 14th
The Oilers are giving up 3.1 goals per game and are a fine fade for this slate. The Kings are creating plenty of scoring chances and they are finally scoring on these chances. At home agains the Oilers they are in a prime position to have a big night. The Kings second line of Lucic/Carter/Toffoli is the line to target. Their fist line is asleep at the wheel (and would be a good contrarian play) but the second line is dumping in goals. They have a combined 37 points in 15 games, even after a slow start and that line has a great chance to score a couple goals against the Oilers.
Montreal just keeps scoring, despite the rest of their numbers being underwhelming. They have a date with a poor Avalanche who is playing better of late, but still not great hockey. But, until Montreal stops scoring they are a great play against poor teams. The top line of Pacioretty/Plekanec/Gallagher has produced a combined 46 points in 17 games are should easily be your top targets, but their 2nd and 3rd lines are producing as well. Subban is a top option on defense but it could be hard to stack the top line and Subban and have money left over for quality options without punting.
Carolina Hurricanes (Value Stack)
Carolina has the best match up of the night but they just can’t find a way to burry pucks. Philly is just plain awful. In the last 10 games they’ve given up close to 240 scoring chances, their Corsi% is 48, and the Hurricanes, despite their lack of scoring, have been producing a high number of scoring chances. On such a huge slate, I can’t imagine Carolina will be highly owned and their in a solid position to finally score some goals. When they do score, the point production is typically coming from Versteeg, E. Staal, and Faulk. I wouldn’t be getting cute – those are the three players I’d target the most.
Cash Core (FD Pricing)
W – Brendan Gallagher (5.7k) – On fire and in a solid match up
W – Jason Zucker (5.3k)
W – Patrick Sharp (7.2k) – cheap way to benefit from Seguin/Benn going off. Sharp racking up points.
C – Jeff Carter (8.0k) – Positive matchup and on the only line really producing for L.A. 16 pts in 16 games
