Daily Fantasy NHL, November 3rd
We are back to a HUGE nine game slate and there are a lot of options to target for your GPPs. Typically I only list my top three targets of each night but I will have four tonight (you could probably target about 6-7 teams and feel good).
Tampa Bay Lightning
The top two lines aren’t quite producing like there were last season but they are facing a Detroit team that is not fully clicking right now. The Red Wings are not playing great possession hockey and Tampa is not a team you want to give extra chances to. I’ll be targeting
Killorn/Stamkos/Callahan heavily and will try to fit Hedman in on the blue line when salary is available. EDIT – It looks as if Palat will be playing with Stamkos/Callahan tonight, so sub him in for Killorn if possible!
Talk about a slow start for a couple of stars – Giroux and Voracek need to unthaw, and quickly; luckily for them they get to play Edmonton. Despite the uptick in offense for the Oilers they continue to give up a lot of shots and goals, and Philly is averaging the most shots per game in the league. This is just what the doctor ordered for Giroux and Voracek to bust of of their little slump and I’ll be playing them, along with their line mate Raffl. Mark Streit is currently leading the team in points and is a solid option for the blue line.
The Flames are another team that is not playing well but has a lovely match up. At the rate Colorado is playing I will continue to fade them all season, similar to Toronto last year. Choosing what line you want to target for Calgary could be tricky but I’ll be going after Colborne/Monohan/Hudler. Gaudreau leads the team in points and isn’t a bad option but I think the top line is playing better together and you’ll get a piece of Johnny Hockey on the PP. Their defensemen aren’t cheap but playing Giordano is never a bad choice.
Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn. What else needs to be said? I could say the same about their opponents as well (Marchand/Krejci) but I’ll give the slight edge to the Stars duo. It’s silly to fade them at this point unless you intentionally want to be different and avoid their high ownership. Pick your favorite cheap stack and pair them with the Stars top line and you might just get lucky. I couldn’t make a list and not include them; it felt dirty.
LW – Jaime Benn: Worth every penny
LW – Brad Marchand: Mid-range price, but out playing it
C – David Krejci: One of the best players in the league and completely underpriced on FanDuel
RW – Brendan Gallagher: Also outplaying his salary on a great scoring line, positive match up
D – Colton Parayko: His price is finally coming up, but still a great DMan option – PP Time and shots
