NHL DFS Picks, 10-27-15

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks, October 27th

Finally, we’re back to a real slate! Not a fan of the small slates (even though yesterday went quite well with the picks) and unfortunately there is another three gamer tomorrow so hopefully we can take advantage of today. I’m not going super chalky today considering some of the offensive power that is on the slate but I like the match ups.

1. Minnesota Wild

This will be the chalkiest I go today and I’ll be targeting Granlund/Parise/Pominville, and sprinkling in some of the Wild’s second line.  Edmonton is still fade material and especially when playing a top tier team.  I still think the Wild’s second line has been playing better hockey but I like the upside more of the top line with Parise.  You can include Suter and/or Spurgeron for the blue line as well for fairly cheap upside in a solid match up.

2. Florida Panthers

Colorado continues to be a dumpster fire and they probably will be as long as Roy is the head coach.  As a DFS fan I hope he stays forever so I can fade them.  On a busy night it’s nice to get some lower owned players in advantageous situations and that’s what I’m hoping this is.  Sadly, Barkov is out for some time but I’ll still be playing their top line of Huberdeau/Bjustad/Jagr.  Jagr must have found the fountain of youth, scoring six goals already and having a total of 10 points.  I like him to light the lamp against Colorado.

3. St. Louis Blue

I just love how St. Louis is playing right now and their top line of Steen/Lehtera/Tarasenko is outstanding. The Blues don’t have the best record but I’d contend their playing just as good of hockey as Montreal and hopefully I can catch them on a day where they’re less owned than usual due to who they’re playing. Tampa is a good team but I don’t think they’re in top form quite yet; try and take advantage with a skilled line like the Blues have at #1.

Cash Core

W – Jamior Jagr
C  – Dylan Larkin (continues to be under priced)
W – Zach Parise
W – Tyler Toffoli

Edit – I thought Price could be a viable option for cash but on such a large slate I’m just not sure he will pay off his salary.  He would need to have a HUGE game, which is possible but not as likely. There are a lot of other solid goalie options tonight for far less money.
