NHL DFS Picks, 10-26-15

Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks, October 26th

1. New York Islanders

They are probably the chalk play tonight considering who they’re facing, although Chicago will be close thanks to the poor Ducks play.  Most people will probably be targeting the top line and especially Tavares but I’m going to go after the second line – Bailey Lee/Nielsen/Okposo.  Tavares is easily their best player (and current top scorer) but I think as a whole the second line plays better and I’m hoping to capture a couple extra assists from the unit.  Plus, on small slates it never hurts to be different.

Edit – Apparently Lee and Bailey have swapped lines

2. Chicago Blackhawks

As mentioned above, the Ducks are not playing great hockey right now so I’ll go chalk again with the Hawks. Like with the Islanders I’ll be using the Hawks second line – although it’d be a first line on many other teams.  Panarin continues to be underpriced on all sites and Anisimov is benefitting greatly from playing with Panarin and Patrick Kane.  Hopefully they continue scoring against a Ducks team that looks dead after only nine games.

3. Arizona Coyotes

I haven’t had Arizona on my list very often but on a small slate, why not? As much as I’d like to take Toronto the Leafs just haven’t been scoring.  Arizona on the other hand has scored at least three goals in five of eight games, with a majority of the scoring coming from their top line of Domi/Hanzal/Duclair (25 combined points).  I’m not sure if they’ll stay around .500 all season but their young talent should continue scoring.  I’ll take a chance on the dogs tonight in Toronto.

Cash Core

I avoid cash games on really small slates, but if I were playing tonight I’d take whoever NYI start in net (probably Halak) and a combo of stars mixed with value players like Domi, Panarin, and Nielsen.
