Daily Fantasy NFL Picks, Week 7
Last week was a mixed bag. I won 30% of my cash games with the Thursday slate lineup that I posted and won 100% of my cash games with my Sunday lineup. Sometimes, that’s the issue with posting an early article (see below for last week’s full results). However, this week I’m not playing the Thursday slate. I would like to wait on some news that probably won’t come out until Sunday. Below is my current lineup, and I don’t see much changing by Sunday (but always be sure to tune back in before lock).
I was on Stafford for my Sunday only slate and I’ll be back on him this week. No, I’m not chasing points; I believe Stafford is a safe play for 16-20 points, with a 30 point ceiling. The Lions have zero running game and they are small underdogs at home. He may be playing from behind and could throw 45+ attempts. I watched the Lions last game and they started airing it out again to CJ and Tate. For the price he’s a solid play if you don’t want to spend up on Palmer, Rivers, or Luck.
As soon as I started researching I locked in Freeman and Gurley. I will guess they are the two most owned RBs on the slate. That alone is a good reason to not fade them, but they both have GREAT match ups and have been playing well on top of that. Freeman has been the best RB in the league over the past four weeks and is almost unfadeable and Gurley has been getting solid touches and yards and now faces the weakest run defense in the league. They will be in every one of my cash lineups.
Marshall and Fitzgerlad were the first two WRs I added. They have been super consistent all season and although Fitzy has slowed up from weeks 1 and 2 he’s going to be facing another awful pass defense this week. The Jets are big dogs to the Patriots and despite Ivory’s success, they will probably be passing a fair amount this game. Marshall has been a beast and I don’t see the Pats shutting him down. I used Moncrief last week and I’ll go back to him because of his price. In the games he’s played with Luck as the QB he scored 13, 21, 11, 15 fantasy points.
Gates is my top option at TE but I just couldn’t make it work so I went with Walker. He’s in an advantageous match up and he’s been getting targets. He has a decent floor and ceiling facing the Falcons.
Coons is cheap, the Browns aren’t afraid to use him, and he’s 12 for 12. I was also only left with enough money for Tampa and I don’t really love any defenses this week and they get to face the poor Skins offense with a turnover prone Kirk Cousins at QB.
