Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks, 10-12-15
After a day off, it’s time to get back at it. It’s been a solid start to the season so I will do my best to keep the ball rolling tonight. Below are the teams I’ll be mainly targeting players from. Remember, these picks are geared more towards tournaments/GPPs.
1. Tampa Bay Lightning
I’m going back to the scoring well. Drouin and Callaghan are too cheap to pass up considering they play with Stamkos. They have a decent matchup against a rebuilding Bruins team and even if Rask starts there will be an ample amount of scoring chances for this top line.
2. Columbus Blue Jackets
I will continue to pick on Buffalo most nights and tonight is not the exception. I’ll be specifically targeting Johansen/Foligno. As usual, you can target the second line as well against Buffalo but Johansen and Foligno play on the same PP unit as well. Buffalo has a lot of young talent but they will continue to struggle on the defensive end. Take advantage!
3. Winnipeg Jets
I love Winnipeg’s top line. They play extremely well together and all three of them can score. This game could produce a fair amount of goals and I don’t completely trust Greiss in net for the Isles (assuming he starts). Wheeler and Ladd have three points each in the first two games and I think the top line will have more success against the Islanders. I would potentially try to get a piece of Byfuglien on the blueline as well but he is pricey.
I would like whoever Columbus starts against Buffalo, even though Bobrovsky has had a rough start to his season. I’m still not quite ready to anoint Buffalo as a scoring machine, despite their off season improvements. I don’t typically like targeting goalies on underdogs but I was impressed with Florida’s opening game and Luongo is a stud. I will be using him a bit for only 8.3k. But keep an eye on who’s starting, there could be a nice value backup starter.
