Well my playoff heater came to an abrupt end yesterday, but one losing day in the post-season so far is fine by me. I’ve curbed my normal strategy of using somewhat safer picks for cash games into creating one lineup for GPP and cash games, but not looking to stay as safe. With such a limited player pool and less punt options, the higher ownership made me play my hand this way. It finally bit me last night, but I’m sticking with it. I can’t pass up some stars for a safer lineup if they’re going to be over 50% owned and I think they will have a great night. There isn’t much left on the bench to make up for that production.
For my cash LU this evening, I really wanted to fit Curry in but it was making things difficult. I feel confident in Irving and Evans, as I was doing my best to avoid the Bulls/Bucks game as much as possible.
I’m not in love with SG, but Butler’s price would’ve cut in a lot at PF, a position that I think is dreadful tonight. I felt I had no choice but to play Pau and Love as I really don’t like any other options. PF forced my hand a bit at SG and SF.
Draymond was a must for me. He’s played over 40 minutes each game and he fills the stat sheet in every way possible. He can put up 40 fantasy points even if he’s not scoring much. Pondexter is a decent punt due to minutes and he had a huge game 1.
Mozgov wasn’t my first option at C but he had a great game 2 and a decent game one for his price. Boston didn’t seem to be an issue for him last game and I’m hoping that continues tonight. He doesn’t score often but he can rack up the rebounds.
I’ll have to dodge some superstar big games, but as long as it’s only one of the three that goes off I should be good in cash games. LeBron has so much help right now he hasn’t needed to take over, and the same goes for Curry. I’m hoping for more 35-40 point games from both of them tonight.
Good luck tonight folks.
