NHL DFS Picks, 4-7-15
There is a large slate of games tonight but I’ve decided to keep the core tight with teams pushing for playoffs and seeding. I’ll be picking on the usual suspects hoping that their poor play continues. I’d like to take down one more GPP before the playoffs start. Remember, this are high ceiling stacks best suited for tournaments, not so much H2H’s and 50/50s.
1. LA Kings
The Kings travel to Edmonton needing to continue winning to keep in the playoffs. They shelled the Oilers for 7 goals in their last meeting and I don’t see that happening again but I do expect the Kings to score 4 goals. I’ll be heavily targeting Kopitar/Gaborik/Williams and mixing Doughty in on the blueline. Not many teams in the league (maybe none) play better the pressure is on.
2. Calgary Flames
The Flames also need to keep winning to stay where they are in the standings. I love picking on the Coyotes and I will have a lot of Gaurdeau/Monohan/Hudler. 8/9/12 – those are the point totals for each player over the last 10 games. They all have multi-point capability and I’m looking for a big night from this line.
3. Detroit Red Wings
This is where it gets interesting. There are a lot of options tonight but I’m going to try and pick on the Hurricanes coming off a loss to the Sabers. The Wings have some big questions marks with their lineup tonight so pay attention to injury news throughout the day. If Datsyuk plays I like Helm/Dats/Tatar. Dats is one of the best setup men in the game and Tatar LOVES to shoot. The top line of Zetterberg/Sheahan/Nyquist should get some play too.
*Note – Detroit’s lines are currently not conducive to great stacking on FanDuel though, so if you can’t get a mixture you like, you could pivot to Nashvilles Forsberg/Ribeiro/Neal line. I like them a fair amount facing Colorado.
